Our Mission: To create a network among organizations who support CAF veterans, Emergency Responders and their families in meeting the array of challenges, such as: transition, mental health, and housing instability, by promoting collaboration that improves the delivery of services.
The Spring Forum was well attended, with ample participation from all attendees. The format was a semi-circle conversational style with a round table of introductions to start, two guest speakers, a formal presentation, a demonstration of the Respect Canada Map, and lots of questions and rich dialogue.
Following the closure of the meeting, many attendees remained and networked, sharing contact information and engaging in one-on-one introductions. In my facilitation experience, this is a sure sign of an enjoyable, successful event.
We had two guest speakers,
We had a special guest attend Serge Hebert, a Veteran now operating a business locally aimed to provide meaningful activity to the lives of Veterans.
Finally, we had two service dogs in attendance which added to the energy of the room and enhanced networking.
A special mention to the John Howard Society of South Eastern NB for the use of their beautiful boardroom at the local Community Hub on Joyce Ave.
