We had a very successful meeting at the New Brunswick Military Heritage Museum (previously the CFB Gagetown Museum) on Monday.
Our keynote speaker was Minister Mary Wilson with the triple threats of responsibilities as: the MLA for the Gagetown area, Minister of Service New Brunswick (SNB), and the Minister Responsible for Military Affairs. Her talk noted widespread improvement to help current and retired military members including: waiving the 90 day waiting period for in posted military members and families for Provincial Health Cards; the new Maple tele health program; a new guide for military families with autism; and increasing the allocation of Child Care seats for private care (the more numerous option in NB) vs non profit; as well as the reopening of VAC office in Oromocto. The wide range of issues kept the crowd interested and engaged.
The Minister ask for the below link to be distributed: sowhywait.ca which complements the Telecare 811, and the link www.gnb.ca/NonjUrgentCare.
There was a diverse group of team members who gave briefing on the own activities
